Camembert Rôti Romarin & Miel

An energetic meal to get you into the winter mood. This is a recipe to share with a lovely bottle of Bordeaux rouge such as a Domaine de l’Etalon d’Argent.

Ingredients

  • 1 camembert
  • a few sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 1 table spoon of honey
  • seasoning
  • a few pine nuts
  • 4 slices of toast
  • 2 cloves of garlic if you wish

Preparation

  • Pre-heat your oven at 180°C. Take the cheese out of the packet but keep the wooden part and place some grease proof paper in the bottom.
  • Slice the camembert into two, long ways. Cover with honey and pepper and put back together. Place it back into the wooden box. Using a knife, score a few crosses on top. Next, use the rosemary , pine nuts and a drizzle of honey ontop.
  • Place in the oven for about 10 minutes depending on how melted you would like it. Best served on homemade toasted bread. The greedy ones may smother their toast with garlic and eat it on a spoon.
  • Great for an aperitif with friends or family. May be served as a main course with a salad.
